A trio of delightful events is coming up in and around the village of Galmpton.  The first is the Barn Art Group’s 7th Annual Exhibition being held in the Barn Hall in the centre of the village.  The exhibition is open daily from 10.30 a.m. – 6.00 p.m. from Saturday 19th August until Bank Holiday Monday, August 28th.  A lovely selection of different works of art will be on show with many available for sale, as well as cards and prints on sale plus refreshments for those who want to browse for a while.  The first “Greenway Singing Night” takes place on Sunday 27th August in the walled garden at Greenway House.  The evening begins at 5.15 p.m. with performances by Odds and Ends, The SeaGalls, and One Accord.  The evening’s finale will be with sea shanty band Missin’ Tackle.  The evening is supported by Eric Lloyd & Co with all proceeds in aid of Rowcroft Hospice.  Tickets, which include a glass of wine on arrival, are available from Village Salon or the Manor Inn in Galmpton or by phoning John Partridge on 01803 843233.  The trio of events is completed by the Galmpton Floral Association’s Autumn Festival on Sunday 3rd September.  All manner of shows, competitions and demonstrations take place from 11.00 a.m. centred on the village institute, Manor Inn, primary school and Barn Hall.  Jonathan Bye, director of Eric Lloyd & Co, commented that “these three events epitomise life in the village of Galmpton making it a firm favourite with homebuyers.  If village life appeals call our office at Windy Corner, 01803 844466, for the current selection of properties in Galmpton.”
