BUYING YOUR NEW HOME

Buying a new home is huge decision and sometimes we spend more time deciding on a new jumper than a new property.  The average viewing takes about 20 to 30 minutes and some buyers will only view the property once before making their decision so it is important to make sure that you make the right choice.

As they say “location, location, location” is important as the interior of a home can be changed and re-decorated but you can’t move it’s location.  So before arranging an appointment to view, check that the property is situated in an area that meets your requirements and works for you.  If you don’t drive, are there local shops or a bus within easy reach?  If you have young children, are there schools and parks nearby?  With all the information available on the internet, it is easy to check out nearby facilities but ultimately the ideal way is to have a “drive by” before arranging a viewing.

At the viewing, look around the property and see if the space works for you and if you feel it could become your new home.  Remember that this is someone’s home so please do not touch personal items and, if asked by one of the Team, please remove your shoes (those carpets may be yours one day!).

If the property you have viewed ticks the majority of your “wants and needs” list, then it is time to make an offer.
