Bill Bye, director of Eric Lloyd & Co, commented that “this surge in activity is a combination pent-up demand built up during the total lock down period and the Chancellor’s Stamp Duty holiday which ends on 31st March 2021. Whilst March 2021 sounds a long way off it is important that anyone considering selling takes advantage of this current busy period in order to have completed a move before the deadline expires”. He added that “It can take anything up to three months for an agreed sale to actually complete.”
