Galmpton is a delightful village situated between the towns of Brixham and Paignton on the banks of the picturesque River Dart.  The history of the village can be traced back to the Doomsday Book. 

 

Nowadays, the village has a wealth of community appeal with two popular village inns, GP surgery, local butchers, and Galleon General Stores (with sub post office) where Eric Lloyd & Co. have a display of their properties for sale.  Community facilities include the Barn Chapel Hall and the Institution village hall which normally support a variety of leisure, social and cultural activities.
