Galmpton is a delightful village situated between the towns of Brixham and Paignton on the banks of the picturesque River Dart.  The history of the village can be traced back to the Doomsday Book.

Nowadays, the village has a wealth of community appeal with two popular village inns, GP surgery, local butchers, and Galleon General Stores (with sub post office) where Eric Lloyd & Co. have a display of their properties for sale.  Community facilities include the Barn Chapel Hall and the Institution village hall which normally support a variety of leisure, social and cultural activities.

There is a very popular primary school in the heart of the village and a Grammar school in Greenway Road.

Greenway Estate is a Grade II Listed house which is now owned and run by the National Trust and was the former home of crime writer Agatha Christie.  The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway runs along the edge of the village.

Eric Lloyd & Co. have an office at Windy Corner on the edge of Galmpton Village so are ideally placed to offer homes for sale in the village.
