Sunday saw Remembrance Day with Brixham paying its full respect with window displays and poppies as far as the eye could see. As 11:00am struck, the town fell silent and for two minutes we all thought of those lost in conflict during the First World War. Occasions like this, show the strong community spirit that Brixham has always thrived on, with shop owners and local residents all taking the time to come together and make the day special. It is around this time of year when the cold weather starts to draw in and the winter period well and truly begins. When selling your home, it is important to present your property to its full potential when viewings take place. Make sure the heating is on (a warm house will always feel welcoming) and allow for lights to be switched on in principle rooms before everyone arrives. It is also a good idea to sweep up any Autumn leaves which are scattered in the garden and allow for viewings to take place before the late afternoon darkness arrives. Bill Bye (Managing Director) commented ‘When presenting your home in the winter, it is vital to create a comfortable and warm environment that will make your potential buyers not want to leave!’ If you are looking to sell your home please do not hesitate to speak to one of our property experts for a free, no obligation valuation.
